Santos on the hot seat
I'll be conducting an interview of NAHL Commish Michael Santos this evening. Sorry, it won't be live (I may turn it into a podcast, however). I have a decent set of questions already, but if there's anything you want to ask, send my your questions and I'll see what I can fit in. The Stanley we never knew This is pretty funny. I can appreciate the struggle to market the game in the USA, but have to wonder if purists think the animated movies are sacreligious... The ad agency handling NBC/OLN's Cup marketing sent me this: He wasnt always the Stanley Cup |

Every year the NAHL promotes players to the collegiate ranks. With the upcoming changes to the NCAA Clearinghouse standards (increased academic requirements for student-athletes) and the proposed legislation of academic advisors for junior hockey, how does the NAHL plan to address the "student" in "student-athlete" and what programs does the NAHL have in place at the current time to assist players develop academically?
It appears the NAHL teams in the "Lower 48" are opposed to having Alaskan teams belonging to the NAHL or are opposed to the hassle and expense of traveling to Alaska. What is the NAHL's position on this issue and the future of Alaska's teams?
How do you feel about the potential change to Tier 3 Jr.A and, Is there any possibility of the NAHL and EJHL mergeing and becoming one league?
What are the plans for sustaning some sort of stability. It seems every year as a fan, and looking from the outside that things(teams, div., owners, team names) are always changing. What is being done to try and keep things solid?
