Quick morning post
Here's some reading to get your day going... A columnist in Halifax complains that shootouts are too common. My take is that so long as some games (shootouts) are valued more than others (regulation), then close games near the end of regulation are going to trend towards being a tie. If you make all games worth three points (3 for a regulation win, 2 for an OT/SO win, and 1 for an OTL/SOL), then there's more incentive to play hard those last five minutes. This would also do away with inflated standings, which are really nothing more than a marketing ploy to make fans think their team is better then it really is. Good to see some American teams in there... Memo to Grande Prairie Storm: I know the cause is good... but what did you expect when you wore pink jerseys? And to answer the question... no, I am not going to talk about a commish with a habit of passing (and communicating) judgment before he has any facts. Oops... |

WHAT IS GOING ON IN SANTA FE AND ALASKA? I'VE HEARD SOME RUMORS OF PROBLEMS WITH BOTH TEAMS.
Santa Fe? Not again? COME ON!
Article said pink sticks, not jerseys. Did thet also wear jerseys?
Oops... I may have mis-read that... I know teams have done pink jerseys in the past, and probably had that on the brain...
So, what have you heard about Alaska having problems? If true, those might have a knock-on affect on Fairbanks.
