Texas on ice...

I suppose I can wait until tomorrow to post again, seeing as how with the impending ice storm I figure I'll be shacked up at home all day. Oh well, might as well post now. No major blockbuster stories, just news bits... Nick Lachey partners with Schlegel Sports Group (owners of the Texas Tornado) to become 1/3rd owner of the Tacoma Rainiers... Tornado defenseman Shawn Hayden leaves team to attend the University of Oklahoma. As an aside, it is currently unclear as to whether he will start playing for OU's undefeated D1 ACHA team this spring or wait until fall. Topeka Tilt news reaches the Kansas City Star, KSHB-TV out of Kansas City, WIBW again (thanks to David for the capture), another local Topeka TV station, and a poker news site... In a nice PR move following the Brody Todd payoff by the OHL, the QMJHL releases a little piece about their scholarship program... AJHL roster reduction to 25 is coming Friday... A nice story about coaches starting out behind the bench in juniors and moving up through the ranks. Of course, for every Terry Simpson there's a Doug Sauter...
