Former Oklahoma City Blazers defenseman Hardy Sauter leaves the Nipawin Hawks to become assistant coach for the Spokane Chiefs. Interestingly, the PR piece out of Spokane fails to mention both Sauter's father (one season) and uncle (11 seasons, four teams) were once head coaches in the WHL...

The Soo taking a one year hiatus from the NOHL is a huge opportunity for the NAHL to slip a team in there.

Makes good sense in as much as their Northern loop seems to need another team. Geographically a good fit with Marquette, Traverse City and Alpena
