Wednesday News

A few folks are still asking what is to become of former Tornado head coach Tony Curtale. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say he could well be up a river...

Other than that folks it's still summertime and the news is slow....

Soo first rounder Jordan Mayer the latest to either pick the NCAA over major junior, or hold an "undesirable" franchise for ransom (which its is to be determined at a later date)...

Portage la Prairie pondering $24M arena...

GM/coach Mike Foligno signs new deal with Sudbury Wolves...

Alberni Valley leaning towards Brad Lauer as new head coach...

Anyone have an idea on how much a OHL GM or coach makes. Im curious because I am a coach. No where near this level but always wondered how these jobs can pay the bill and keep relo'ing your family. Thanks

Tony Curtale up a river...

How can a coach who won 3 National Championships and helped get a number of his players D1 scholarships be up a river...

Isn't Junior Hockey about developing players for college? Which Tony seems to be able to do.

This wasn't meant to be derogatory. It's called a tease. I didn't saw which river he is up... if things play out the reference will make sense.
