But to me the question is: since we know that the CHL's parent company is willing to build arenas clearly outside the CHL footprint that would house non-CHL hockey teams (Wenatchee), would they be willing to partner with the USHL to build smaller venues (3,800-4,500 seats)? Payments from the WHL, presumably from league sponsorships, rose from $22,500 in 2005 to $65,025 in 2006 to $328,767 in 2007. The Broncos received $190,477 as a result of the awarding of a franchise to Edmonton. The Broncos bottom line also increased thanks to additional NHL income - their share of the approximately $6M delivered annually to CHL teams for player development.
