Tornado Family Tree Keeps Growing

Tony Curtale has another son of an NHL'er locked in his sights again. This time it's goalie Dayne Belfour, son of Eddie the Eagle. Dayne will be in the Tornado's tryout camp in Farmington Hills this weekend. If he makes the team, it will be the seventh time an NHL player's son has touched down with the franchise, joining Liut, Ludwig, Messier, McCreary, Holland, and Goulet... eight if you count the Ludwigs twice. Toss in Avs President Pierre Lecroix (Karl Sellan's uncle), and you've got a lot of genetic talent finding its way south.

Update: I accidentally left out Rich/Richie Hansen, another father-son pair from the Tornado's days at Blue Line...

Nice to see more leagues posting the outcome of their league meetings. It might be overkill to post the rosters of the various league committees, but I still like it.

Just another case of "who you are". It stinks. I've seen the 'Eaglet'play, and he's not that good.
