Help the Roadrunners

Looks like the Roadrunners are pulling out all the stops in trying to convince the Santa Fe city council to reconsider the ban on alcohol sales at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center. The latest step is an online petition.

I personally don't give much validity to online petitions, but every little bit helps I suppose. Of course, adding out-of-town signatures to the sheet probably won't do much, but in a best-case might shame the council into reconsidering their position.

I guess what I don't understand is, with crowds from 200-400, how the city council can think a few brews among a FEW fans can cause any significant impact on the arena's atmosphere.

It appears to be a no-brainer to 'beta test' consumption control, and if the crowds ever do get bigger, they'll have had the experience to handle the situation in a time-tested manner.
