Fargo-Moorhead Jets fire back with their own response to a possible USHL invasion...

Fellow blogger and Ottawa Sun editorial staffer Neate Sager offers his take on the Colbert-Spirit Mutual Affection Society...

I don't usually post links to box scores unless they are unique. I think this SIX OT OPJHL match between Toronto and Pickering qualifies (there's a 10-minute OT that's been left out of the box, according to the write up linked below). The losing goalie had 84 saves, and there were seven assorted power plays during extra time... UPDATE: Here's a write-up on the game from the Toronto Sun...

The article is wrong - there was a USHL and NAHL team in Chicago when the Freeze and Steel operated at the same time.

It also doesn't mention that the Fargo owner has unpaid bills all over town, and that is part of the reason he was excluded from the new facility.

The other Jets owner, not Norman mentioned in the article, may have unpaid bills (rumor to me) but he has had minimal control this year which probably addresses that situation.

Fact is the Jets is a growing enterprise and would be driven out by an additional USHL team... one that would be doomed to fail due to finances.
