The USHL and NAHL have resolved their disagreement over player compensation. NAHL teams sending players up will receive $2,000 in return, while USHL teams sending players to the NAHL will get $1,000 back. Teams can still make their own deals for more or less money, but in the absence of such agreements, the standard values will apply. The Williams Lake TimberWolves are making a run for the border and moving to Wenatchee, Washington. They'll go dark for one season as the new arena construction has been delayed, then return to the BCHL in 2008-09... The good news is the Omaha Lancers made it into SportsIllustrated.com. The Knights may talk a strong stance, but you can't lose that kind of money very long before you have to cut your losses and run. Give 'em one more year at most and then watch them leave. The Lancers and Mavs aren't going anywhere.
