Tuesday News

Waterloo staff quickly turns pages to draft. I guess my question is: why isn't the draft on Saturday? With all the effort to provide live draft results, would there be more interest if the draft were held when people aren't stuck at work or players are in school? This is an opportunity to generate interest, yet the league (and the NAHL as well) buries it in the middle of the week...

So far, Siciliano still coach in Sioux City...

The 2010 World Juniors are up for bids, but London may not be able to afford it...

Oswego Admirals sold and relocated...

They DID walk - they went to Seattle Totems. That was the right thing, no body wants to play for a house "wanna be Jr B" level team and Joakim, who is the biggest loser coach. can't recruit, or coach -- but he's real good at buying alcohol and taking players money playing poker on the road and letting them have girls in their rooms. That's why he got the boot from Ft Van.

What kind of trouble is brewing in Oshawa?
The Indiana Ice have selected John Tavares in the USHL draft.

re: Tavares. Late round pick, probably just taking a flyer "just in case"... ???

re: rummer ft van - WRONG. They will have a team and are exploring options for what league they want to particpate in and should know more very shortly

Anyone hear if Jon MacWilliams is coming back to Tucson to save hockey in the area?

I get the feeling that Marc could write a column about NASA finding hockey rinks on Mars and the comments would still devolve into Ft Van and Norpac bashing.
