Monday News

Wow... talk about players behaving badly. The two clips below are from the South Jersey Raptors of the AEHL. Six minutes into the first video you will see players consuming alcohol, and a player jumping out a hotel bedroom, apparently drunk, then vandalizing a vehicle in the parking lot. Early in the second video you see a player drop his shorts before jumping into a pool from an adjacent waterfall. Warning up front in case you're at the office or near small children - both clips have no shortage of foul language.

I don't know what's more stupid: the acts committed in the videos, or that the players themselves recorded these videos and loaded them on YouTube. I've warned before about Myspace and FaceBook, and players needing to be smart about what goes on there lest a scout sees it. This obviously goes for YouTube as well. I guess Forrest Gump's mama got it right.

It doesn't matter to me that these events happened within a league that is outside of USA Hockey. It happened within hockey and thus gives the game a black eye. Road trips don't give you carte blanche to misbehave.

I have a comment to leave about this so called "team" never have i seen so many children in my life i had the unfortunate meeting with this crowd "SOUTH JERSEY RAPTORS"on sat march 29th they are a bunch of children who do not know how to handle their alcohol or their mouths. we had so much trouble with them! they have been kicked out of 2 hotels in Wooster now because of their behavior. and there coach leaves them all and goes around to other bars to find some strange. not a very sportsman like team or very respectful. was an all out fist to cuffs when i told them it was last call. i am hoping that is not how they want there team to be perceived but as of right now it seems that way very sore losers
