The deal in the BCHL to sell and move the dormant Williams Lake franchise to Wenatchee, Washington appears to be dead. While the article says USA Hockey wants more information, during the summer meeting the Junior Council voted to not certify the franchise. The deal to sell the franchise was contingent on a successful relocation. Interestingly enough, this is the first article I've seen that connects the speculating Andy Murray (former Santa Fe/Southern Minnesota/Silver Arm owner) as one of the buyers. Why is it that USA Hockey is not liking a BCHL team in Wenatchee?
Thank you for posting the link to the story about the Bozeman Icedogs. Kevin Stone is a great coach and I wish him well in his head coaching position.
I say we already have enough BC hockey in Washington. I think that USA Hockey should put more effort into building USA's Hockey program.
I have an idea howabout some home grown NAHL team in Wenatchee? Sounds reasonable enough to me.
