Monday News

Sorry for the lack of posts... I've been out of town a few days - a pilgrim in an unholy land.

We know there have been FERPA issues before, but let's hope this story doesn't give the Junior Council any ideas...

The Tier III ruling is filtering into the media. Here's a story out of Billings...

And here's another one, this time out of Rochester (I guess Jack Benny was unavailable for comment)...

And Puget Sound, who also hired Chadd Olson as head coach...

Vernon Vipers bag Red Wings GM Ken Holland, for a weekend at least...

Swift Current Broncos name Tim Kehler assistant coach...

Niagara Ice Dogs name Mike McCourt assistant coach...

Owen Sound Attack still looking for a head coach...

Lewiston Maineiacs fill out coaching staff...

Pickering Panthers name Mark Joslin head coach...

EJHL head coach Brad Holt moves up to the University of New England...

Nanaimo Clippers voice Pat Siedlecki will call for Lethbridge Hurricanes...

QUSETIONS FOR ALL HOCKEY FANS & PLAYERS!!
(and keep it clean)
1. WHAT IF ANYTHING SHOULD OF THE norpac DONE WITH THE CHEATING COACHS/OWNERS LAST SEASON?
2. HOW CAN WE KNOW EVERYONE IS GOING TO HAVE A FARE SHAKE THIS SEASON?
3. HOW DO WE KEEP FROM LETTING THIS HAPPEN AGAIN?
3. WHAT TEAM DO YOU THINK MIGHT WIN THE NORPAC CHAMPIONSHIP THIS SEASON?
4. WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE SO GREEDY THAT THEY DO ANYTHING TO WIN, EVEN IF NOT FARE TO MANY OTHERS?

Now that a team has been exposed, there will ALWAYS be another angle to work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:49 PM, July 23, 2007) :

The Ice Hawks have been all over the nightly news all summer...the best media covered Jr. team in Minnesota...not that it's all that tough though.

They out draw every other team by at least double too, Owatonna is the closest and they are about half.

Answers to questions;
#1-They pretty much did all that they could within the bylaws set forth
#2-You will never know that everyone is getting a fair shake
#3-There will be a lot of scrutiny this year and the league will act very quickly on any rumors
#4-Helena in the east, Cda or Seattle in the west
#5-Some will do anything to win. I can assure you that every team broke some rule last year. Tampering is #1, scholarships #2, drug and alcohol violations #3, all teams are guilty of these in some form. Even teams with mandatory drug testing were doing it selectively. Believe it, I lived it

keep your eyes on helena (butters) he has been sponsoring players for two years or more (a fact). it is right in his game program "if you would like to sponsor a player please call". in fact bryan canter who signed with the bighorns will definitely not pat full tuition so you might as well start the investigation early.

anon...12:08....this is bryan canter and i am paying 100% tuition plus billeting, $4500, $250 a month for billet, i'll send you a copy of the reciept if you'd like.

Kudos Canter! Some people think they can throw out what they deem "facts"

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:38 PM, August 02, 2007) :
